Easy Buttery Flaky Pie Crust
This pie crust makes buttery flaky pie crust every time.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all purpose flour About 325 grams
- 1 tsp pink salt
- 2 tbs sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed into ½ inch pieces
- ½ cup water ice cold
Instructions
- Combine flour, salt, & sugar
- Sprinkle butter pieces over the flour mixture
- Mix COMPLETELY together until crumby. You can use your hand, a dough cutter, fork or food processor after this point.
- Add ice water in increments. Mix each amount completely before adding more. Mixture should form a ball (or clusters/smaller balls in the food processor)
- Form ball and cut in half
- Flatten each half, wrap in plastic wrap & chill for at last 1 hour.
- Use as desired
