Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe – Scratch Made
Equipment
- 1 Bowl Scraper aka spatula
- Measuring spoons and cups
- 2 Cookie sheets
- 1 Oven Can also bake in toaster oven
- 1 Wooden Spoon
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt Any salt works
- 1 cup Butter Softened, Unsalted to control salt content
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar Dark is best
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 lrg eggs Jumbo preferably
- 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 1 cup nuts of choice optional, I do not put nuts in mine but feel free to add what you want
Instructions
- Combine butter and both sugars. Mix thoroughly.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl combine all dry ingredients. Mix so that baking soda is combined.
- Add dry ingredients in increments. Mix each amount all the way until adding more.
- Add chocolate chips and other additions last. Mix until combined.
Notes
- Do not over mix
