Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe - Scratch Made

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt Any salt works
  • 1 cup Butter Softened, Unsalted to control salt content
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar Dark is best
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 lrg eggs Jumbo preferably
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1 cup nuts of choice optional, I do not put nuts in mine but feel free to add what you want

Equipment

  • 1 Bowl Scraper aka spatula
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • 2 Cookie sheets
  • 1 Oven Can also bake in toaster oven
  • 1 Wooden Spoon

Method
 

  1. Combine butter and both sugars. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl combine all dry ingredients. Mix so that baking soda is combined.
  4. Add dry ingredients in increments. Mix each amount all the way until adding more.
  5. Add chocolate chips and other additions last. Mix until combined.

Notes

  • Do not over mix
