Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe - Scratch Made

Equipment

  • 1 Bowl Scraper aka spatula
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • 2 Cookie sheets
  • 1 Oven Can also bake in toaster oven
  • 1 Wooden Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt Any salt works
  • 1 cup Butter Softened, Unsalted to control salt content
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar Dark is best
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 lrg eggs Jumbo preferably
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1 cup nuts of choice optional, I do not put nuts in mine but feel free to add what you want

Instructions
 

  • Combine butter and both sugars. Mix thoroughly.
  • Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl combine all dry ingredients. Mix so that baking soda is combined.
  • Add dry ingredients in increments. Mix each amount all the way until adding more.
  • Add chocolate chips and other additions last. Mix until combined.

Notes

  • Do not over mix
